The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Ramadi as saying that a soldier in the puppet "Iraqi National Guards" who was on guard duty with a patrol near the ath-Thilah area of the city was struck by a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, causing him to fall dead. In a separate attack, an American patrol was halted on az-Zuyut Street in ar-Ramadi when one of the Americans took a direct hit from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly...

An old man, holding his head in his hands, had just arrived after fleeing his village in southern Lebanon. We began to talk and I asked him if the Israeli plan of bombing the Lebanese in order to force them to pressure Hezbollah out of the south of their country was working. Was it turning the Lebanese against Hezbollah? He promptly stood up, forcing me to step back.
