British Zionist says Israeli lives more valuable than Arab lives
I'n'I
British Zionist columnist Maureen Lipman has stated that Israeli lives are more valuable than Arab lives. Her comments, which were broadcast on BBC television on 13 July 2006, went unchalleneged by the programme’s presenter, Andrew Neil. The director of the Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding (CAABU), Chris Doyle, has written to the BBC to condemn the comments on the BBC television programme "This Week" by leading British columnist Maureen Lipman. Unchallenged by the presenter, Andrew Neil, Lipman commented on the situation in the Middle East and denied that the Israeli actions were disproportionate. "What’s proportion got to do with it. It’s not about proportion, is it? Human life is not cheap to the Israelis. And human life on the other side is quite cheap actually because they strap bombs to people and send them to blow themselves up." The idea that somehow Arabs, whether Palestinians or Lebanese, do not value human life as much as anyone else is disgraceful...

Iraqi Resistance Report for events of Saturday, 15 July 2006
Translated and/or compiled by Muhammad Abu Nasr, member, editorial board, the Free Arab Voice.
...In a dispatch posted at 3:15pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters mounted two separate attacks on US occupation troops and their puppet army allies in the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad in the previous 24 hours. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road near the eastern entrance to the city opposite the al-'Askari neighborhood. The blast completely destroyed one Humvee, killing or wounding the members of its five-man crew...

Lies of the Times
The Angry Arab News Service
Notice that the racist New York Times always lists Israeli casualties before listing Arab casualties. Also notice that the New York Times is keen to headline with the number of Hizbullah's rockets on Israel, while it does not list the number of Israeli rockets and bombs over Lebanon. Also, the New York Times has a picture of a demonstration in Iran in which a picture of Hasan Nasrallah was shown, while there were similar demonstrations with Hasan Nasrallah's picture in many Islamic countries, including Turkey and Indonesia, but New York Times wants to reinforce its Iranian conspiracy scenario. But Israel receives far more military support from the US than Hizbullah receives from Iran, but I don't see the New York Lies promoting a US conspiracy scenario. And notice that there is a daily section in the Times about the suffering of civilians in Israel (and what a section; the victims in that section are personalized by name, and it contains the observation that Arabs and Jews get along in Israel. Oh, ya. Arabs and Jews were getting along famously until Hizbullah came along and captured the occupation soldiers and ruined everything. How could they?)...

IRAQ: 'Liberating’ a city by levelling it
Doug Lorimer
"Hundreds of US Marines stormed through dimly lit hallways of the largest hospital in western Iraq on [July 5], taking control of a facility allegedly used by insurgents", Associated Press reported from Ramadi, the capital of Iraq’s Anbar province, located 110 kilometres west of Baghdad (...) The assault on the hospital was part of what New York Times staff reporter Dexter Filkins described in an article filed from Ramadi on July 4 as a "slow-motion offensive" by several thousand US marines and US Army soldiers that began on June 9, when they cordoned off the city. The aim of the offensive, marine commanders said, is to set up heavily fortified outputs in each of the city’s neighourhoods...

The address of the General Secretary of Hizballah, His Excellency Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah, to the Nation, the Lebanese people, the resistance fighters, the
Translated by Muhammad Abu Nasr
... First, I say to the Lebanese people: dear people – who embraced the resistance, by whom the resistance was victorious, and for whom the resistance won its victory on 25 May 2000 – this people who were the makers of the first victory in the history of the Arab struggle with the Israeli enemy, despite the basic inequality in forces, and in spite of the fact that the majority of our Arab brothers and the majority of our Muslim brothers abandoned us and despite the silence of the whole world, this Lebanese people made the miracle of the victory that stunned the world and humiliated the Zionists. Those Zionists look upon this people in a special, unique way because they accomplished in the history of the struggle with them a special and unique accomplishment. The battle today is no longer a battle over prisoners or the exchange of prisoners. It might be said that the Zionist enemy is responding any time there is any operation where men are captured anywhere in any part of the world, by any army or any state that has borders and regulations. What is taking place today is not a response to a capture of their soldiers; it is a squaring of accounts with the people, resistance, state, army, political forces, regions, villages, and families that inflicted that historic defeat on that aggressive usurper entity that has never accepted its defeat...

Terror in the land of Hammurabi
Ibrahim Ebeid, Al-Moharer
U.S. "democracy" is inflicting terror in Iraq with the sectarian government's gangs roaming the streets of the land terrorizing the entire population. Some of these terrorists wear uniforms and some do not but they are all servants of the Iranian and American occupation. Women lost the freedom they were enjoying under the Ba’ath regime and now they cannot venture outside their homes without a male family member escort, nor can they walk the street without head cover. Men are being killed for wearing shorts. The list is big and has no end. Educators, scientists, and writers are being assassinated systematically to bring down the level of education. Educators, fearing for their lives, are staying home or leaving the country. Death squads of the sectarian regime are roaming the streets of Baghdad, kidnapping people and executing them en mass. They are so brazen that they kidnap innocent people in daylight....

US military, lawyer differ on Saddam's state
Independent Online
Saddam Hussein was in good health and taking liquids with nutrients on the sixth day of a hunger strike, the US military said on Thursday. However, the former Iraqi leader's lead lawyer, Khalil al-Dulaimi, said his health had started to deteriorate, adding that Saddam had been on hunger strike for seven days. The former Iraqi leader and three co-defendants are refusing food in protest at court procedures and the killing of their defence lawyers in their trial for crimes against humanity...

What they want is the head of the resistance movement
Talal Salman
It's war again. As in the past, it's an Israeli war in terms of the men and material; a joint Israeli-American war in terms of its declared and implied political aims. We must prepare for a long, bitter, and costly confrontation because the first aim of the war is to change the rules of the game radically in Lebanon, for starters, then in its neighbor Palestine, then in the rogue state Syria and rebellious Iran. Nothing but an excuse is the claim that this is a response to the successful capture by Hizballah fighters of two Israeli soldiers (with the aim of securing the release of Lebanese prisoners who have languished in Israeli jails for decades). The real reason for the war is the presence of the resistance, and then its influential role, not only on Lebanese politics, but on the Arab level in general and the Palestinian level in particular...
