US forces demolish college building in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces had razed a building
belonging to the College of Sciences of the University in ar-Ramadi in
western Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses
as saying that the US forces surrounded the college building Saturday
morning, mined it with explosives and then backed away and detonated
them, completely destroying the building.
The correspondent reported that the reason for the destruction of the college building was as yet unknown.
US soldier reported killed in bombing opposite central markets in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Saturday morning Mecca time, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US
patrol on the main road in the middle of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of
Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in
ar-Ramadi as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of
the main road opposite the central markets in the middle of town blew
up by an American patrol, disabling a Humvee and killing one US soldier
and wounding a three more.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb blasts US column in eastern al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded
by a US military column on the new main road in the east of
al-Fallujah.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local
eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb disabled one of the vehicles in
the column, wounding three US soldiers, one of them seriously.
Two US soldiers reported dead in roadside bombing west of al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Saturday morning Mecca time,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded
by a US patrol in al-Bu 'Alwan area, 10km west of al-Fallujah or the
road to ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the
area who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device that
had been planted by the side of the miain road near the al-Bu 'Alwan
Bridge blew up as a patrol of several US vehicles drove past.
The blast disabled one vehicle in the patrol, killing two US soldiers and wounding two more, the witnesses said.
Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Saturday morning,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and
killed an American soldier in the an-Nazal neighborhood of southern
al-Fallujah, some 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the
neighborhood who witnessed the attack as saying that that the soldier
had been part of an American foot patrol on the main road in their
neighborhood when a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet cut him down,
killing him instantly.
Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills three US Marines in 'Amiriyat al-Fallujah Friday night.
An Iraqi Resistance marksmen killed three US Marines in 'Amiriyat
al-Fallujah, south of the city of al-Fallujah on Friday night, Quds
Press reported.
Eyewitnesses told Quds Press that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter
perched atop a building in 'Amiriyat al-Fallujah, 7km south of
al-Fallujah, had fired off three rounds bringing down three US Marines
who were guarding an American military headquarters in the area on
Friday night. The Marines were standing hundreds of meters from the
building from which the Resistance fighter opened fire. All three died
instantly.
After the attack, US forces closed off the entire area and set up
checkpoints to search for the sharpshooter but found no sign of him.
Resistance battles US troops in al-Fallujah Friday night.
Iraqi Resistance forces and US troops clashed in the southern al-Fallujah neighborhood of ash-Shuhada’ on Friday night.
Quds Press reported that the fighting lasted about half an hour,
but nothing was known about the nature or extent of casualties since
the combat took place during the time when the curfew was in force. The
curfew begins at 10pm ans lasts until 6am.
Baghdad.
Resistance bomb rips through puppet army column on road to Saddam International Airport.
In a dispatch posted at 1pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by an
Iraqi puppet army patrol in the western Baghdad district of
al-Ghazaliyah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents
of al-Ghazaliyah who witnessed the attack as saying that a bomb planted
by the side of the highway that leads to Saddam International Airport
blew up by a passing column of puppet army troops, disabling one Zeal
troop transport and killing two Iraqi puppet soldiers. Another three of
them were wounded in the explosion.
Resistance bomb blasts US convoy in at-Taji.
In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Mecca time Saturday, Mafkarat
al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US
military convoy on the main road in the northern Baghdad suburb of
at-Taji.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents
of at-Taji who witnessed the bombing as saying that an explosive device
that had been planted by the side of the main road blew up as a convoy
of several American Humvees and supply trucks drove past. The blast
disabled one of the vehicles, wounding four US troops, one of them
seriously.
Bulgaria begins troop withdrawal from Iraq.
The Bulgarian Defense Ministry announced that Bulgaria has begun to
withdraw its Brigade of light infantry occupation troops from Iraq. The
Bulgarian contingent, numbering 334 men, is to be out of the country by
the end of December according to a spokesman for the Bulgarian Defense
Ministry quoted by US Radio Sawa as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam.
Faced with popular opposition to the war, the Bulgarian parliament
voted in May to pull the Balkan country’s troops out of Iraq. According
to official statistics, Bulgaria lost 13 troops and six civilians
killed in Iraq since Sofia deployed forces there in support of the
American occupation in 2003.
On winning the elections in June, the Bulgarian Socialist Party
promised to withdraw the country’s troops, but then under pressure from
Washington agreed to keep the contingent in Iraq until the US-backed 15
December elections.

Resistance forces ambush puppet police patrol.
In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a
patrol of Iraqi puppet forces on the main road south of Tikrit.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and
medium weapons attacked the patrol, disabling one puppet police vehicle
and killing two puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.
Ad-Dulu'iyah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with
light arms had attacked an Iraqi puppet army column on the road south
to Balad, which is located north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of
ad-Dulu'iyah who witnessed the attack as saying that the Resistance
fighters damaged on of the vehicles in the column, killing one Iraqi
puppet army soldier and wounding three more of them.

Bomb blasts puppet army column near al-Mahmudiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had blasted an
Iraqi puppet army column on the main road between al-Mahmudiyah and
al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad.
The al-Mahmudiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a
source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been
planted by the side of the highway to al-Yusufiyah had blown up by an
Iraqi puppet army column, disabling one Jeep and killing two Iraqi
puppet troops and wounding two more of them.

Resistance bomb blasts US convoy south of al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded
by a convoy of American trucks loaded with fuel and supplies for US
bases no the highway near the Fourth Bridge south of al-Yusufiyah.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted next to the highway to
Baghdad blew up by the American convoy, disabling one American truck
and wounding its driver.
Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:30pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had unleashed a
fierce mortar barrage on the joint headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet
army forces in al-Yusufiyah, south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of
al-Yusufiyah who witnessed the bombardment as saying that plumes of
smoke rose from the joint military headquarters, though no further
details on the nature or extent of casualties or damage were available.

Al-Mada’in.
Resistance bombards puppet "Shock Troop" headquarters in al-Mada’in.
In a dispatch posted at 4:45pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired three
heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet "Iraqi
Interior Ministry Shock Troops" in the south of the city of al-Mada’in,
southeast of Baghdad.
The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses as saying that the three shells blasted directly into the
puppet "Shock Troop" headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising over
the facility.
Buhriz.
Resistance bombards US-Iraqi joint headquarters in Buhriz.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired four
82mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in
the area of Buhriz, south of Ba'qubah, northeast of Baghdad.
The Ba'qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported
eyewitnesses as saying that the headquarters took direct hits in the
bombardment that sent plumes of smoke rising over the facility.

Mosul.
Resistance fighters ambush puppet army patrol in central Mosul.
In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked
an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the al-Islah az-Zira'i section of
central Mosul in northern Iraq.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses
as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons
ambushed the patrol, setting fire to one patrol vehicle and killing one
puppet soldier and wounding three more of them. The Resistance fighters
then withdrew from the area.

In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded
by a US military column on the main road near Dawrat Baghdad to the
east of Mosul.
The Mosul correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses
as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the main road near
Dawrat Baghdad blew up as a column of several American armored vehicles
and Humvees was driving by, disabling one US armored vehicle and
killing one American soldier and wounding three more.
Irbil Province.

Massive explosion rips through Peshmergah headquarters in Irbil.
In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Mecca time Saturday afternoon,
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a huge explosion had ripped through a
headquarters of the pro-American Kurdish separatist Peshmergah militia
in the west of Irbil.
The Irbil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses
as saying that a massive explosion shook the interior of the
headquarters sending clouds of smoke billowing up from the facility. No
information on the cause of the blast or the nature or extent of
casualties was immediately available.
