While the peoples' uprising grappling the Arab world is turning the old equilibrium upside down, the imperialist countries, to put this new situation to their use are both accelerating their efforts to steer the opposition, and at the same time getting ready to invade Libya.

The uprisings in Libya have turned into a civil war. The fact that on one side is the Gaddafi dictatorship should not be used to hide the fact that the other side is backed by imperialist countries. Peace proponents must not allow this.

The Libya National Council composed of the tribes that control the east of Libya, have launched an appeal for foreign intervention. This appeal should not be allowed to be used as the excuse imperialists have been looking for, most notably the USA which has been accumulating its navy in the region during the past days.

Libya is a country desired for its oil and location, and easily controllable due to its social structure. For these reasons, it is a place most fit for imperialists to invade and settle down. Gaddafi's lunatism or brutalness should not be made a cover for this settlement.

The peoples' uprising not being able to find a revolutionary leadership has been whetting the appetites of all the actors trying to penetrate the region both from inside and outside. Gül with his visit to give counsel Egypt, or Erdoğan with his "What does NATO have to do in Libya?" scolding last week, or Kılıçdaroğlu who could not even say this, all had shown that Turkey is also looking for a penetration in the region.

Peace association is calling all peace proponents in Turkey to be alert against these tricks.

USA, EU and Israel, but also Turkey must unhand the struggle of Middle East peoples.
